"Our CEO recently had the wonderful opportunity to be interviewed by Yassine Triki. It was an amazing experience to discuss our fantastic team. The video has yet to be released, but I hope you enjoy the humor, laughter, the cat, and the chance to connect with Prévion."
The Problem Being Addressed
Many healthcare and emergency environments lack reliable ways to continuously monitor vital health information while individuals are moving or operating in demanding conditions. Traditional monitoring systems are often designed for stationary clinical settings, limiting their usefulness in dynamic environments such as emergency response, long-term care mobility, or field operations. Previon is focused on addressing this gap by developing wearable systems that enable health monitoring without restricting movement.
The Technology Being Developed
Previon is developing a wearable medical technology platform designed to support continuous physiological monitoring in environments where traditional medical equipment is impractical. The system is designed to be comfortable, mobile, and adaptable, enabling monitoring capabilities to extend beyond hospital rooms into real-world operational settings.
How the Wearable System Works
The wearable system integrates sensors and digital processing within a compact form factor designed to be worn on the body. These components collect physiological signals and translate them into actionable health information. The goal is to create a system that functions reliably during movement and activity while remaining unobtrusive to the user.
Is it a monitoring device?
No, it's a portable physical wearable medical device that uses a medical delivery system
What Makes the Technology Different
Previon focuses on combining wearable comfort, mobility, and modular system architecture. The goal is to create a platform that can adapt to different operational environments rather than relying on a single fixed configuration. This flexible design approach aims to support a range of monitoring needs while maintaining user comfort and mobility.
Data or Information the System Monitors
The system is designed to monitor physiological indicators that provide insight into an individual's physical condition and health status. These signals may include vital and biometric information that helps support situational awareness, health monitoring, and early identification of potential risks.
Environments/use
Previon’s wearable systems are designed for environments where mobility and real-time physiological awareness are important. These environments may include healthcare settings, long-term care facilities, emergency response operations, and other dynamic environments where traditional monitoring systems may be difficult to deploy.
Current Stage of Development
Previon is currently in the early development phase, focusing on research, design, and prototype development of the wearable system. This stage includes engineering development, system architecture design, and preparation for future validation and testing.
Vision for the Technology
The long-term vision is to expand wearable medical technology into environments where continuous health monitoring has traditionally been difficult or impossible. Previon aims to develop a scalable platform that supports safer operations, improved health awareness, and better decision-making in both healthcare and high-performance environments.

I started this company because my loved one was confined to the couch. Medical devices often fail to cater to the individual, focusing more on the patient rather than their comfort. As an industrial designer, I felt compelled to find a solution for my loved one’s discomfort. After she received a stem cell transplant, she began using wearable medical technology, but it was not comfortable. The tubing constantly got tangled and the design lacked ergonomic geometry. This experience inspired me to start drawing and creating designs that empower individuals.

Malcolm greig-Steinmetz
Chief Executive Officer & lead designer
Founder of Previon,
serving as both Lead Industrial Designer and Chief Executive Officer.
As Lead Designer, I lead product concept development for wearable medical technology, working closely with engineers and designers to translate research into practical solutions. My work includes ideation sketching, visual presentations, advanced surface modeling, and functional 3D development.
As CEO, I manage company strategy, team priorities, and development structure. I work with technical leadership to establish product architecture, implement organized file management systems, and ensure early alignment with ISO medical device compliance.
My focus is building disciplined design and development systems that allow small teams to efficiently develop complex medical technology.
